New York Renegades Academy Set to Kick Off in UPSL Academy for Spring Season

March 3rd, 2026

New York Renegades Academy is set to kick off the Spring season in the UPSL Academy, continuing the club’s long-standing presence within the UPSL ecosystem and reinforcing its commitment to elite youth development, months after securing the UPSL National Championship on the men’s side. The Renegades will compete across multiple age groups as the UPSL Academy prepares for one of its most ambitious seasons to date.

“We have been competing in the UPSL for many years, establishing ourselves as a strong and respected program,” said Renegades Coach Oscar Silveira, who oversees the U13, U15, and U17 teams set to compete in the UPSL Academy. “Over time, our teams have won a National Championship and reached multiple finals, demonstrating consistency and a winning mentality. Being part of the UPSL Academy is a continuation of our long-term commitment to high-level competition and player development.”

The UPSL Academy continues to grow rapidly, with conferences confirmed in Texas, Southern California, the Northeast, and the Mid-Atlantic, and additional conferences expected to be announced ahead of the Spring season. The Academy anticipates more than 100 teams competing this Spring, creating one of the most competitive youth platforms in the country. For clubs like New York Renegades Academy, the structure provides meaningful matches, regional rivalries, and a seamless pathway to top semi-pro competition.

“The UPSL Academy provides a structured and competitive environment that helps our players grow both on and off the field,” Silveira added. “As a club, we take pride in our history within the league and the success we have achieved. Our experience at the national level has strengthened our standards and expectations. We remain focused on developing talent, competing at the highest level, and representing our club with extraordinary professionalism and ambition.”

UPSL Academy conferences will begin kicking off matches this weekend, with all conferences expected to be active by the end of March. The Spring season will also culminate in the UPSL Academy Final, where top-performing teams from each conference will qualify for a national tournament, with more details expected to be released in April.
